Jerry B. Chernock

Mr. Chernock is a Partner at DC Capital Partners. He has extensive experience sourcing, underwriting, driving value creation and exiting private equity investments in the government and infrastructure sectors. Throughout his career, Mr. Chernock has worked closely with management teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives designed to scale operations to build durable strategic businesses and create long-term value by delivering for the mission and for the customer.

Since joining DC Capital Partners in 2012, Mr. Chernock has been involved in the Firm’s growth from its first institutional private equity fund and has completed over 50 M&A and financing transactions. Mr. Chernock’s notable investment experience includes the take-private acquisition of former NYSE-listed Michael Baker Corporation; the legacy acquisitions and sale of SC3, LLC; the legacy acquisitions of Acuity Holdings, LLC; the acquisition, growth strategy and sale of QRC Technologies to Parsons Corporation; the acquisition, growth strategy and sale of Pond Holdings, LLC; the legacy acquisitions and growth strategy of Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC; and the acquisitions of PBK Architects, Inc., Revenue Solutions, Inc., SiOnyx, LLC, C5MI Insights, LLC and Knexus AI. Mr. Chernock currently serves on the Board of Directors of all DC Capital portfolio companies.

Prior to joining DC Capital Partners, Mr. Chernock was an investment banker at Jefferies & Company, where he advised clients on a range of M&A and financing transactions in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors. During his time at Jefferies, Mr. Chernock advised on the sale of two DC Capital Partners Fund I portfolio companies, National Interest Security Company, LLC and International Development Solutions, LLC.

Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Chernock gained early operating experience working in his family’s business, where he developed a foundational understanding of capital allocation, operations and growth strategy.

Mr. Chernock received a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.
